Las Palmas by The Sea

The staff are absolutely fantastic! Guadeloupe, Edgar, David, Tomas, Martin & Pedro to name a few. There are so many kind & friendly folks too from the kitchen, cleaning, maintenance and lawn care that I do not know their names but made our trip wonderful! Thank you to all! The location is perfectly central to the Malecon and the Marina. The rooms are very dated, but did not detract from our holiday. (You get what you pay for. )

I always come here and I get the best service. David along with other bartenders take care of the client so good. They explain the rules so we don’t feel bad and it makes us feel special. I will definitely recommend this place to all the people I live with and I love this place. Thank you.

Overall the resort is very nice. It is smaller with fewer amenities than others but we preferred that. 2 main pools, 1 for adults only and 1 for families. We enjoyed the family pool as it had music and activities throughout the day. Both pools were very clean. We never really had trouble finding a poolside chair, it didn’t get very busy during our stay. Our room was on the south side of the resort above the burger station. Amazing views but very noisy. During the day is normal noises but at nighttime we found it very, very noisy with carts rolling around and kitchen prep all night. The room was very clean and spacious. One thing we would say is negative is that there is no mini fridge in your room. It made it hard to store your own food or drinks from the store, they also don’t have room service and you’re not allowed to bring food out of the dining areas. I’d recommend fridges so people have the choice to bring their own food and drinks and store it. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The food overall was very good! If you’re staying for an extended period of time you may grow tired of it as it’s very similar food each day but it was all very good. We never got sick. A warning though, the birds are out in full force during breakfast, if you’re not watching your food, they will pick at it. So be cautious with what you grab from the buffet and don’t leave your food unattended. We will stay again in the future for sure. It is in a great location that felt very safe to walk around. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, malls, pharmacies and convenience stores within walking distance. Bus stops right out front as well.

Spent reading break with four friends at Las Palmas and we couldn't have asked for a better time. The incredible staff waws our best highlight. Their familiarity, intentionality to learn names and give us the best time, along with their friendly service made for a welcoming and homelike atmosphere. I am celiac so I struggled with food, but the chefs went over the buffet food options with me before every meal, so I knew what I could have. The beach is gorgeous, rooms are clean, and pools were awesome. Very thankful to have fallen on this place.

Absolutely LOVE this resort! This is my second visit and I’ll definitely be back! Real Mexican Charm, not too big…not too small…it’s just right! Fabulous location right on the beach and walking distance to all amenities. The friendly, warm and inviting staff are AMAZING!!! They become family-I’m shocked that so many remembered me! David at the main Bar is the BEST!!! His smiling face and welcoming disposition makes each person feel so special-he really is the Star of the resort. Tomas goes above and beyond to make sure you’re looked after! There are countless waiters (Daniel stands out most to me-he’s wonderful), waitresses and greeters that always ensure you have everything you need. It’s truly home away from home!

I had an amazing stay! David at the Coco lobby was fantastic, my drink was always full. Saul at the volleyball pit was incredible too. He would round up my whole family into playing a few games. Friendly service and a lovely view of the ocean. The food is delicious as well. Only thing is the shower curtain is cloth so it doesn’t repel water and there are few outlets.

We planned a last minute trip here and we couldn't be happier with where we ended up! ALL The staff here are AMAZING. Two that stand out are David at the Coco Lobby bar (he's so much fun and very attentive!) and Fidel at the beachside bar. They have your drinks ready for you before you get there! Always smiling and friendly. Make sure to visit them on your stay!

We were very happy with our stay at this hotel! The staff were wonderful — always friendly, attentive, and ready to help. The sea was amazing: clean, calm, and beautiful. There were always plenty of sunbeds available, which was a big plus. The room was nice, cozy, and well-kept. The food selection isn’t huge like in big chain resorts, but there was always something tasty to choose from — we never went hungry. Also, the price was quite low, so we honestly didn’t expect everything to be this good. We took a taxi to the Romantic Zone a couple of times and walked back. We really enjoyed that walk. There is a good shopping center nearby and generally well-developed infrastructure behind the hotel. Overall, it’s a great option for a comfortable and relaxing vacation. We would happily come back again!
